After the launch of Parul University Mozilla Club – the Mozilla Student Club Chapter of Parul Polytechnic Institute, Parul University. The club had come up with their 4th event which was a one day and 8 hours Hackathon called “Moz-A-Thon” that included 21 teams in participation which considered 72 students in total. It was the first coding fest which was conducted by the diploma studying students of Parul polytechnic institute, whereas this event was organized for the young hardware and software coders of the diploma from Parul Polytechnic Institute, Parul university. The event was in association with Technoventures, GTU Innovation Council, Profism, I-future, Tech-I.com and sirf Taxi- Musafir.The venue of the event was on the first floor, BBA seminar hall, Parul University, Vadodara on,23rd August 2017, Wednesday.

Description of the event :-
The event was kick started with the registrations of the young teams at 7:30 Am and the Hackathon was considered to be opened for coding at 8:00 am with the ceremony of inauguration, where the host of the event Mr.Neel Patel covered it with his formal speech.
The young brains had come with many innovative ideas to surpass the challenges which were considered to be of open development as well as smart campus/class.Each and every team which participated was very much enthusiastic, hence by considering their enthusiasm the seminar hall was converted into the saga of the positive environment of coding competition.
At 10:45 Am the mentors started with the brainstorming session by reaching one by one to all individual team’s desk where the coordinators of the club Mr. Sufyan Dangiwala, Ms.Yashaswini Panchal and Ms.Krima Patel escorted them.They observed and tried to understand the ideas of the teams as well as they also suggested same tips of improvement to the teams on their ideas.
At 11:15 the judges Mr.Narayan Parmar(Head,CSR activities,Aimtron Technologies) and Mr.Ankit Pandya had stepped into the seminar hall and At 11:30 Am, the third judge Mr.Smit Bhanusali(Head,yuvalay-Elab) also entered the seminar hall and with this the forum was all set for the first round of judging.Where the judges had to judge the teams on the basis of their ideas.The humble judges went to each and every team and considered to observe and understand the ideas by questioning them, where the coordinators of the club – Mr.Vinit Bavishi and Mr.Smit Vyas escorted them.Hence, on the basis of the question and answer round the individual teams had got their marks of the first round.
Where the second round of the judging was started at 2:00 pm. Where the judges had to judge the individual teams on the basis of their prototype and presentation.Therefore with this, the second round of judging got over.
Ending of the event:-
The Moz-A-Thon was declared to be closed at 4:00 pm.On one side the judges, as well as the mentors, were discussing for the final results of the winners,
where on the other side the mob of participates were in tension.Hence to reduce this stressful environment. The host of the event had the live conversation with the teams on their individual expression of the hackathon.
As the live conversation was going on Dr.B.J Rathor(campus Director of Parul university) and Prof.Jatin Vaidya(Principal of Parul Polytechnic institute) moved there steps ahead into the seminar hall to motivate the participated teams.
At 4:15 pm the mentors had come up to the stage for inspiring the hard work of the participants and selecting some of them for the internships in their companies to develop there projects as well as the judges had also given the speech to encourage the participants of the Moz-A-Thon.
At 4:30 pm the prize distribution ceremony started with the announcement of the 2 winners in the category of hardware prototypes,
–1st prizes had gone to the “Future Engineers“.
–2nd prize had gone to the “Water Hackers”
Where the considerable prizes where distributed to the students by Dr.B.J Rathor(Campus Director of Parul University).
Then came the announcement of the 2 winners in the category of software prototypes,
–1st prize had gone to the “virtualizers”
–2nd prize had gone to “DK“.
Where the considerable prizes were distributed to the students by Prof.Jatin Vaidya(Principal of Parul Polytechnic Institute) .
At 4:45 pm , the momentous where given to the mentors and judges.
At 4:55 pm the four winning teams of the hackathon were given the last gift prize that was 16 bags and 16 T-shirts which was provided by the founder of Srif Taxi – Mr.Sunil Vasyani.Where he also provided the gift of honour to the Parul University mozilla club team.
